Most days I get up at 5 AM, stumble into the kitchen and start my day with coffee. I check my email, Facebook, and the blog. I usually have my daily planner with me, so I know what is coming up or has to be done today. I toss all the already prepared stuff into the slow cooker and start that up. Then I get ready for work and I am out the door and on the road by 7.
By day I work in a very scientific field. which as I think on it, is probably why quilting is so appealing to me. It is that very exact science with the flair of creative I need.
I’m back by 5PM and dinner is waiting. Superman (my husband), the kidlets and I sit down for a quick dinner. Depending on the day, I am either helping the kids with homework, or shuffling kidlet #2 to soccer practice, or headed to church for our weekday community dinner and classes. I help out in the pre-k through 3rd grade class and after class is dinner then adult ed class and finally compline.
After homework, soccer practice, or church, I will get online and either scope out new projects for me to do, start writing a blog post, or research easier ways for me to do my current projects. Then, it is getting the kidlets ready for bed.
Somewhere around 10 or 11 pm, I am dead to the world and my day is over.
Have you found a creative hobby that dovetails with what you are good at, and what you need?
